AddonSoftware Administration - Setup New Firm

 

Function

This task adds a new Firm to an existing AddonSoftware installation. The new Firm can be created with or without, default Parameter and Code data, but not with Masterfile data.

 

=> To access this task...

Select Set Up New Firm from the Install/Upgrade Utilities menu.

About the Fields

 

In the Data Location  field...

Display only. Shows location of data files for current installation, including the new firm.

 

In the New Firm ID  field...

  • Enter an unused Firm ID. Note that neither an existing firm ID, nor firms 99 or ZZ cannot be used.

In the Company Name  field...

  • Enter the name of new company as it should appear on IRS 1099 forms.

In the Address, City, State/Province, and Zip/Postal Code  fields...

  • Enter the mailing address for the new company.

In the Country ID field...

  • Enter the Country ID.

  • Click Click to select a Country ID from a list of existing records.

In the Phone Number field...

  • Enter the contact phone number for the new company.

In the Federal Tax ID field...

  • Enter the U.S. federal tax ID for the new company as it should appear on IRS 1099 forms.

For the Install Type...

  • Select With Default Parameters + Codes...

  • Select Without Data with no parameter or code data

When done making selections...

  • Click Run Process button to create the new company.

  • Click  Clear Form button to clear the form and begin again.

Creating the new firm presents the processing complete window.

Select [OK] to close the task.
