Sales Order Processing - Salespersons

 

Function

Use this task to create, modify, delete, and/or inquire about salesperson codes. These codes are the same codes used by the Sales Analysis and Accounts Receivable modules. A listing of all salesperson codes and their descriptions is available.

Select Salespersons from the Inquiry and Maintenance menu.

About the Fields

 

To enable edits to the form select  .

 

In the Salesperson Code field...

  • Enter a valid 3-character salesperson code.

  • Click the record navigating buttons; to view the first record, to view the previous record, to view the next record and to view the last salesperson code record.

  • Click Query button to select from a list of salesperson codes.

  • Click Clear Form button to clear the form to create a new record.

  • Click Delete record to delete the record.

When entering an existing code, the description and associated information for the code is displayed.

 

In the Description field...

  • Enter up to 20 characters for the name of this salesperson.

In the Commission Rate field...

  • Enter a number which represents the commission rate for this salesperson.

Commission Rate Example

  • Enter 5.5 to represent a commission of 5.5%.

When finished making entries to the fields...

  • Click Save button to save the record. The form is cleared in preparation for a new entry.

Closing an unsaved record will issue the prompt:

  • Select [Yes] to save the changes.

  • Select [No] to return to the Salesperson Code form.
