Shop Floor Control - Employees

Function

The Shop Floor Control module uses an employee file in its timesheet data collection process. Use this task to create an employee file.

Select Employees from the Inquiry and Maintenance menu.

Work Order Employee Master

Use the Employee Maintenance task in the Payroll module to maintain your employee numbers and name. If the AddonSoftware Payroll is not installed, additions, modifications, and deletions to your employees’ files can be made through this task. If you decide to install the Payroll module later, these employees will have to be keyed into the Employee Maintenance task manually.

About the Fields

In the Employee Number field...

Enter a new or existing employee number.
Click to select from a list of existing employee numbers.
Click to view the master record to display the master record for the employee number entered.
Click the record navigating buttons; to view the first record, to view the previous record, to view the next record and to view the last address record.

When an existing employee number is entered, the remaining fields are filled. If an employee number that the system does not recognize is entered, the following prompt is issued:

Select [Yes] to create a new employee record.
Select [No] to return to the Employee Number field.

Selecting [Yes] launches the Employee Master window for the creation of a complete employee record.

In the Employee Surname field...

Enter the last name of the employee up to 16 characters in length.

In the Employee Given Name field...

Enter the first name of the employee up to 14 characters in length.

In the Alternate Sequence field...

Enter a name of up to 10 characters in length that will be used in the alternate sequence lookup function.

When finished making entries to the fields…

Click to save the entries.
Click to clear entries.
Click to delete the record.
