Payroll - Year End Update

 

Function

This task is used after the final payroll of the year and after the Month End Update for December has been ran,  to create the empty records for the new payroll year, including dollars earned, deduction, tax, and contribution information. The year-end update also calculates remaining balances on those deductions that have a remaining balance to be carried forward into the new year.

 

=> To access this task...

Select Year End Update from the Periodic Processing menu.


If Month End Update for December has not been run, a warning message is displayed:

 

  • Click [OK].

The Current Payroll Calendar Year is Displayed.

 

Payroll Year End Update

  • Click to accept the dates and options entered to process the Year End Update.

A Confirmation Prompt will request verification before proceeding.

  • Click [Yes] to complete the update.

  • Click [No] to return to the Payroll Periodic Processing Menu.
